PAIR OF RESTORED ALABAX BATH SCONCES, 1930\'S-1950\'S, ART DECO & MCM, WHITE PORCELAIN
These art deco, white porcelain sconces were manufactured during the 1930\'s to early 1950\'s. They have been restored, are in very good condition, and are ready to install. They are not signed, but we are sure that they were manufactured by Pass & Seymour who marketed their porcelain fixtures under the name ALABAX. We base that on the way the outlets are constructed and the fact that we have restored them in previous years.
We have carefully cleaned each of the sconces and removed the old overpaint from the sides and back. We rewired them and cleaned the push-pull switches. The switches work smoothly and correctly.
The sale includes the mounting hardware (nickel plated mounting nuts, threaded nipples, crossbars). Everything has been tested and is guaranteed to work correctly. Each fixture has a polarized outlet which we also rewired, but since the outlets are not the modern 3-wire grounded system, the buyer and his/her electrician will need to decide whether to hook them up.
Dimensions: 6-1/4\" high, 4-1/8\" wide, project 4\" from the wall. They use standard base bulbs (not included).
Shipping is buyer\'s choice of USPS Parcel Select, UPS or FedEx Ground,or USPS Priority Mail. The sconces are guaranteed to be as described and we will accept their return if buyer is dissatisfied. Just notify us within 30 days of receiving them.
