Beautiful pair of vintage Fra Angelico musician angel prints, framed as a matching set. The images are reproductions of the famous angels from Fra Angelico\'s Linaioli Tabernacle (1433, Uffizi, Florence). One angel plays a tambourine, and the other holds a stringed instrument (psaltery).What makes these special is the finish. The halos, wings and robe embroidery are gold foil and embossed, so they catch the light and shimmer in person much more than photos can show. The prints are mounted on board in gilt wood frames with a black outer edge.Both backs carry the original stamp of Art Picture Frame Service, 519 Hayes Street, San Francisco, a local framer.
