This Christofle salt and pepper set features the Christofle "Villars" (or lighthouse) design, a classic mid-century modernist aesthetic produced by this premier French silversmith. The design character is a smooth, round dome cap. The finish is high-quality French silver plate featuring the brilliant mirror-polished finish characteristic of the historical Christofle house. The two-part construction of each piece is the the decorative perforated top cap that screws off to expose a cylindrical reservoir sleeve underneath, allowing for easy refilling and cleaning. The cap is accented by a tiny spherical finial at the peak. Dimensions are approximately 3 inches in height and 1.37 inches wide at base.
