The Brand: This is an authentic pre-Prohibition Anheuser-Busch Pale Lager, brewed and bottled directly at the historic flagship brewery in St. Louis, Missouri. The Logo: The central crest is the original 19th-century Anheuser-Busch "A and Eagle" design, which features a distinct, highly stylized eagle wingspan passing through the letter "A". The "Pale Lager" Label: Long before "Budweiser" became their singular dominant flagship brand name, Anheuser-Busch marketed their early light, pasteurized beers simply under the descriptive style name "Pale Lager". The Age: The bottle features a heavy, dark amber glass construction with a hand-tooled, applied lip design (predating the fully automated bottle-blowing machines introduced in the early 1900s). The specific lithography on the paper label and company naming conventions pin its production timeline approximately from 1890 to 1905.
