Our custom nashiji(pear-skin)makie artwork on this run of Parker 45 desk pens climbs across a black urushi lacquer ground.The Parker 45 desk edition is a distinct variant of the standard 45, built with a longer, more elegant, tapered body. We finished multiple pens from this build, each carrying its own nib, so that you can choose the right nib for yourself.
Rather than settling as an even field, the gold powder rises up each barrel in a swirling climb, thinning and gathering in loose bands as it moves toward the section, so the black lacquer stays darkest near the cap and warms into denser gold lower down. The long taper of the Parker 45 desk body gives that swirl room to develop without a trim line breaking its path. Each cap carries our studio signature in gold lacquer, marking every pen in this group individually.
