This is an early-production model featuring the metal Pelikan logo on the cap top, a characteristic seen on early 800-series models, as well as a marking indicating production during the West Germany era. These details distinguish it from later versions and give it the distinctive character of an early vintage model.

The D800 is a large mechanical pencil from Pelikan’s prestigious Souverän series. It shares the substantial proportions of the M800 fountain pen and offers a solid, substantial feel that sets it apart from slimmer conventional mechanical pencils.

The glossy black body is complemented by gold-colored clip and trim, creating a classic and elegant appearance. The clip features Pelikan’s distinctive beak-inspired design.

The lead size is 0.5mm. Early D800 models were equipped with a 0.5mm mechanism, making it suitable for everyday writing as well as detailed writing in notebooks and planners.

The lead is extended using a twist mechanism. Turning the end of the barrel advances and retracts the lead, providing a refined operating feel appropriate for a luxury writing instrument.

The condition is Excellent. As this is a vintage item, there may be very minor scratches or signs of storage and use, but there are no noticeable major scratches or significant damage. Overall, it remains in exceptionally clean condition. Please also refer to the photos for details.
