Marie Dubas born Anna Marie Dubas on September 3, 1894 in Paris 15th and died on February 21, 1972 in Paris 16th1, is a music hall singer and an actress. In her early days, Marie Dubas intended for a career in lyric theater and operetta. She made her debut in 1908 at the Grenelle theater, when she was barely 14 years old. Taking dance, singing and acting classes at the same time (at the Conservatory of Dramatic Art), she quickly enjoyed growing success and found herself at the head of the cast of several popular operettas. But in 1926 (she was 32 years old at the time), a failure of her vocal cords deprived her of part of her means, irremediably reducing the extent of her range2.
