Up for sale is a CDV post mortem of an infant laid out on possibly a settee. The oval image shows a baby wearing a nightgown or christening gown holding a bottle with a handle or a rattle, hard to determine. The photographer\'s infomation reads: \"Wards, 54 Brixton Rd., London.\"
The reverse has a large proprietor\'s imprint: \"Specialite -- Woodbury-Type Enlargements Estabd. 1881, Ward\'s Studio of Art, 54 Brixton Road, Near Kennington Church, London.\"
Ward\'s was a prominent Victorian-era photographic studio operated by Alfred Ward (and sometimes listed as Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ward). The studio was highly active during the mid-to-late Victorian period (roughly the 1870s through the early 1890s).

Condition: It is in overall good condition, there\'s a light crease through the middle of the card. The back has a few dark stains but it is in accordance with its age.
