Kingdom of Hungary, Signum Laudis Medal with Holy Crown 1922.The medal features a gilt bronze finish and depicts a patriarchal cross within a wreath, surmounted by the Holy Crown of Hungary,unmarked, 32 mm x 50 mm, inclusive of its crown suspension, on its original triangular faded civilian ribbon with hook and eye. A very good, full size example.
The Medal was established in June 1923 and was identical for military and civilians, the awards to civilians andwere awarded for meritorious civilian or military service, particularly during the Second World War. Many civilianawards were given for life saving meritorious acts. The medal was suppressed on February 14, 1945.
