Genuine post-WWII Austrian Army (Österreichs Bundesheer) rucksack, maker-marked STOLLA of Vienna. Derived from the German Model 1931 (M31) rucksack and issued in the 1950s–60s. Heavy grey-green canvas with black leather strapping and steel buckles. Top closes with a rope drawcord through grommets under a storm flap with leather straps.
Condition: Signs of long term storage - appears unissued. Canvas is sound with subtle staining and patina near rust spots; leather is worn but supple; some metal buckles and grommets show surface rust. Complete and usable, it is firm and strong.
Measures: Approx. 19"H x 17"W
Features: One large top-loading main compartment plus two exterior pockets; wears like a traditional rucksack, broad and high on the back. Leather shoulder straps adjust by buckle.
