- Vintage 1939 French Religious Badge – Centenary of the Congregation of the AssumptionUp for sale is a beautifully designed, historically significant vintage Catholic religious badge brooch. This oval medal was struck in France in 1939 to commemorate the 100th anniversary (Centenaire) of the founding of the prestigious Congregation of the Assumption (Religieuses de l\'Assomption), a Catholic religious order founded in Paris in 1839 by Saint Marie-Eugénie de Jésus.
- Front (Obverse): Features a detailed central high-relief sculpture of the Blessed Virgin Mary standing in a serene, prayerful pose. The central image is framed by a striking purple enamel border that carries the gilded French text: \"CENTENAIRE DE LA CONG. DE L\'ASSOMPTION\".
- Historical Dates: The historic foundation and centenary years \"1839\" and \"1939\" are clearly stamped on either side of the central Madonna figure.
- Latin Motto: The lower section of the enamel frame displays the congregation\'s traditional Latin spiritual motto: \"TRAHE NOS POST TE\" (Draw us after you / Attract us to you).
- Reverse Construction: Features a solid backing fitted with a classic, vertical long pin fastener setup, allowing it to be securely worn as a brooch, lapel pin, or dress badge.
