For sale is a 1992 Case Brothers / Gowanda, NY trapper pocket knife with olive green jigged bone handles, nickel silver bolsters, Case shield, brass liners, and two stainless blades. Tang is marked TESTED XX 1992 on one side and CASE BROTHERS / GOWANDA, NY on the reverse.

This knife is part of the Case Classic era and references the early Case Brothers cutlery history. Case Brothers was one of the early Case-family knife companies in western New York, and the “Tested XX” marking is an important part of the Case collecting tradition. This is a 1992 Case Classic knife, not an early 1900s original Case Brothers knife. This Gowanda, NY tang-stamped 1992 Case Classic 6254 trapper is commonly reported by Case Classic collectors as a 100-piece run.Collector references and prior sold examples commonly describe this 1992 Case Classic Case Brothers Gowanda 6254 green/olive bone trapper as a limited 100-piece run. Very nice overall condition for a 1992 collector knife. The blades appear full with clean profiles and show light handling/storage marks, fine scratches, and minor age-related signs visible in the photos. I do not see obvious blade abuse, broken tips, or heavy sharpening. The olive green jigged bone handles look very attractive with no obvious cracks or missing pieces seen. The main condition issue is age/storage staining and discoloration on the Case shield and nickel silver bolsters, most noticeable in the photos. There may also be small scattered marks, rubs, lint, or age spots from handling and storage. Please review all photos closely, as they are the best description of the knife’s actual condition.
