Exceptional original late-19th-century rolled school wall chart set published in 1887 by Ivison, Blakeman & Co., one of America’s leading educational publishers. This rare multi-subject chart series was produced for Ohio state schools and includes illustrated lessons in human anatomy, hygiene, reading/phonics, and Ohio civil government and history.
The charts feature finely detailed lithographic illustrations and period typography, mounted on an original wooden roller mechanism designed for classroom use. This format allowed teachers to sequentially display instructional material, making such sets an important artifact of early American public education.
