NOTE : From 31 January to 31 May 1883, Don Bosco (68 years old) traveled exhausted through France asking for alms. On May 18 he accepted the invitation of the noble Polish Czartoryski family, and celebrated Mass in their Parisian palace, the Hotel Lambert. The head of the family, Prince Ladislaus (55 years old) and his eldest son Augusto (25 years old) serve him at Mass. At the end, Augusto asks him for a private interview. Don Bosco looks at that young prince, tall and thin as a palm tree, and says strange words to him: \"For a long time I have wanted to get to know you, prince.\"
