Original vintage NASA/DARPA Pegasus rocket launch ephemera lot documenting the July 17, 1991 second Pegasus flight. Includes two original approximately 8x10 color photographic prints on Kodak paper, a contemporary mission statement/press release, and an original newspaper clipping reporting on the flight and satellite deployment issue.
The photographs show the Pegasus air-launched rocket mounted beneath its B-52 carrier aircraft and rare close-up preparation/integration work involving the Pegasus vehicle. The press material identifies the mission as the Pegasus second flight and includes a statement by Major Robert Bonometti, U.S. Army, DARPA Mission Director, dated July 17, 1991.
