RARE VINTAGE EISENHOWER, JFK WHITE HOUSE USED PRINTER'S BLOCK PRESIDENTIAL SEAL For Sale

VERY RARE ONE OF A KIND!!!!!EISENHOWER & BEGINNING OF KENNEDY ADMINISTRATIONS WHITE HOUSE USED PRINTER'S BLOCKBefore digital computer printing wood block type sets were required for all printing. All White House stationary, letterhead usage documents would be typed set using this seal and than each sheet would be individually printed bearing the imprinted PRESIDENTIAL SEAL from this printer's block.This was THE ONE AND ONLY PRESIDENTIAL SEAL wood block printer's type set used throughout the EISENHOWER Administration and into the beginning of the KENNEDY administration. There are 48 stars around the Seal which is why the Kennedy administration had to have a new one ordered that had 50 stars around the Seal as the art of printing was also moving away from the need for such printer's blocks.This incredible item was retired early after President Kennedy took office and was gifted directly from the President to his secretary Evelyn Lincoln. It remained in her possession until her death when this item was purchased from her estate by a well known collector of Presidential items. It was from this same collector that I was able to aquire this item.I am offering it free with my other listing of a framed Eisenhower collection of signatures, military items, photo, and letter. It does come with the original case that I received when I purchased it. Not sure if the case was added after JFK gifted it or was the original case the block was stored in and given with the block at the time it was gifted by Kennedy.This is an awesome piece of history.
