RARE VINTAGE SEVER SKY AVIATION METAL SIGN WITH 1976 SPIRIT OF ’76 AIR SHOW MATERIAL
Outstanding vintage aviation group centered around a large original SEVER SKY metal advertising/display sign measuring approximately 33” × 12”.
The sign features a dramatic streamlined aircraft, speed lines and highly stylized SEVER SKY lettering against a metallic bronze/gold-colored background. It has mounting holes around the perimeter and displays age-related scratches, spotting and surface wear consistent with an authentic period-used display.
Importantly, the accompanying original 1976 Spirit of ’76 Air Show program from Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum actually displays the SEVER SKY logo, establishing a direct period association between Sever Sky and this major Bicentennial-era Long Island aviation event.
Also included are the original Spirit of ’76 Air Show Employee Parking sign and Nassau County air-show piece featuring a 1909 Curtiss aircraft and County Executive Ralph G. Caso.
