This is a stunning, rare, unique, and vintage amberina oil lamp with an embossed eagle andstars pattern. The colors are a reddish orange andgold, and glows under a UV light. Thisexample was made by the L.E. Smith glass company, and is not often seen in thiscoloration.
This piece appears to be in great condition, with no chips, or cracks, but does have minor wear due to its age, has some stains on the reservoir (see pics), and the wick has been lit at some point in the past. The wick's raising and lowering knob works, and the burner unscrews from the reservoir (see video).
It measures around 11 1/2 inchestall. See pictures for all measurements. The embossing of the eagle on the glass shade is on both sides. Made in the 60s through 70s.
I scourthrough antique shops to find the most unique items for my personal collection, and some of my items I list for sale since my display cabinets are gettingovercrowded.
This superunique oil lamp will stay in my collection in my UV lighted display case (see pic how it stands out in my display case), unlessI can get the price I’m asking. And theprice is based on its rarity and how cool it is. And it’s one of my favorite amberina pieces.
I shouldn't even have to state this, but the other items in the display cabinet are not part of this sale. I posted those pictures so others can see how this lamp looks inside my display cabinet with 395 UV lights. There are two UV strips above, and one on the bottom in front of the amberina glass items.
