Exceptionally rare original Los Angeles transit sign featuring two generations of LA transportation history on one piece. Originally used by the Los Angeles Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA), the heavy metal sign was later repurposed with Southern California Rapid Transit District (RTD) signage on the reverse.
Approximately 3 feet wide, with fantastic original street-used patina, mounting holes, paint loss and wear. Unrestored and loaded with character. A striking survivor from LA’s mid-century transit history and an incredible display piece for any Los Angeles, transportation, automobilia or vintage-sign collection.
