Original pre-1907 real photo postcard showing two well-dressed people posed at an elaborate rustic log-cabin display incorporating a clearly visible “LOG CABIN MAPLE SYRUP” advertising sign.The scene includes a log wall or cabin façade decorated with evergreen branches, a horseshoe-shaped ornament, the Log Cabin Maple Syrup sign, and a dark kettle or serving vessel. The seated man appears to be pouring a beverage from a metal vessel into cups, while the woman wears an exceptionally large period hat.The Log Cabin advertising connection is particularly interesting. The Log Cabin syrup business originated with Patrick J. Towle in St. Paul, Minnesota, and the company was already nationally advertising its syrup products during this period.The postcard has an undivided reverse reading “POST CARD — THIS SIDE FOR THE ADDRESS” with a “Place one-cent stamp here” box. It is unposted and does not identify the people, photographer, event, or location.An unusual early photographic advertising image with crossover appeal to RPPC, antique advertising, maple syrup, food-product, rustic Americana, and social-history collectors.Earliest plausible date: c. 1898

Reverse has general toning, scattered small stains and marks, pencil notation “3-” near the upper right, and a sizable area of surface/paper loss or album-removal damage near the lower center.
