The New York Sunday Newsserved as the popular Sunday edition of the New York Daily News and was famously known for decades as "New York's Picture Newspaper". Below are dates of the pages that are included along with the pictures of the very famous leaders that led the war. These are not complete newspapers, but all of the pictures are intact as 4 page sheets, some have some extra advertisements and stories included.
  • June 3 & June 10, 1945: Post-VE Day homecomings and the initial troop pivot to the Pacific. McCampbell & Patton
  • June 24, 1945: Transition issue following the end of the Battle of Okinawa, charting the final theater strategies. Hodges
  • July 1 & July 8, 1945: Highly sought-after issues printed during the historic 17-day New York newspaper delivery strike. Old Glory & D.D.E.
  • July 22, 1945: Coverage during the critical Potsdam Conference. Bradley
