Rare Antique 1888 H.S. Pease Cincinnati by Griswold Sad Charcoal Cast Iron For Sale

Absolutely Wonderful Antique Griswold Manufacturing H.S. Pease Brand Sad Iron Ca 1888 Cast Iron Clothes Iron made in Cincinnati Ohio USA Ca. 1888. This Antique Cast Iron Coal Iron was made in Cincinnati Ohio USA. It was made by Griswold Manufacturing under their H.S. Pease Brand. It is made entirely of Heavy Cast Iron except for the original wood handle. Note the rotating damper lates on the back of the iron used to regulate air flow. The Top and Bottom separate into two sections and are held together by a single pin.
***Reminds me of a large steamship. It is in average Antique condition with marks and wear being consistent in keeping with the age of the piece. It has obviously been painted at some point. The damper on the back does not move. The wood handle is missing along with the heat deflector that would have been below it with the patent date (August 18 1888). The top and body pin is missing and has been replaced with a nail to hold it together. Length is 8.5 Inches, Height is 8.5 Inches, Width is 4 Inches. Sold for parts or restoration. ****
