Vintage 1950s Prestone Synthetic Motor Oil 1-Quart Can - FULL UNOPENED NOS
Highly collectible, original vintage Prestone Motor Oil 1-quart tin can from the late 1940s to early 1950s.
What makes this particular piece incredibly rare is that it is FULL, UNOPENED, and New Old Stock (NOS). The top lid is factory-stamped with "Prestone Motor Oil 200" and remains completely unpunctured by a spout tool. The can retains its original weight and liquid contents after roughly 75 years.Historical Context:
While Prestone is famous for antifreeze, they briefly produced this advanced, chemically synthesized non-petroleum motor oil during the post-WWII era. The side graphics proudly proclaim it as "The New Chemical Lubricant for Peak Motor Performance" and state that it "contains no petrol, oil, or mineral oil." Because it was a niche premium product that was quickly discontinued, these motor oil cans are significantly harder to find than standard vintage Prestone tins—especially in unopened condition. Please inspect all photos for an exact look at condition.
