An exceptionally rare and museum-worthy Ethiopian Orthodox processional cross, hand-forged in iron and mounted on its original long staff. This striking ecclesiastical piece represents centuries of sacred craftsmanship from the Ethiopian Christian tradition.
Featuring an intricate interwoven cross motif, the head displays classic Ethiopian design elements — symmetrical arms with flared ends and deeply engraved geometric and symbolic patterns. The interlaced design symbolizes eternity and unity in the Ethiopian Orthodox faith. The elongated iron shaft culminates in a solid base, suggesting its use in liturgical processions, ceremonies, and high religious celebrations.
