Rare Antique L.H. Thomas Chicago "Brilliant Green" Ink Bottle w/ Labels C. 1880s For Sale

Remarkably rare, Late Victorian era antique glass inkwell manufactured by the L. H. Thomas Company of Chicago, Illinois.Dating to the 1880s or early 1890s, this 2-inch square "stable" style bottle was engineered to sit flat on a writing desk to prevent messy spills. Finding surviving L.H. Thomas bottles is always a treat, but finding a specimen that retains its original paper labels is exceptionally scarce.*Main Label: "Thomas' Brilliant Green Writing and Copying Ink" – an incredibly tough-to-find variety, as green ink formulas were produced in much smaller quantities than standard blacks and blues.*Side Advertising Label: "Snow Flake Paste / Mucilage" – a classic 19th-century office starch adhesive.*Opposite Side Label: Features the iconic L.H. Thomas company trademark "Black Cat" graphic logo. (Please note condition below regarding this label).*Condition Report: The glass itself is in excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks, or severe clouding. It features an embossed "3/4 OZ" mark on the pane and includes an authentic vintage cork stopper.
