Item Description:
OFFICIAL ISSUED GEAR – NOT A COMMERCIAL SOUVENIR
This is an authentic, original navy blue quarter-zip fleece pullover issued exclusively to personnel serving on the FBI PENTTBOM Task Force. This item was never available to the general public, sold in gift shops, or produced as commemorative merchandise. It was manufactured strictly for the active-duty federal agents, local law enforcement partners, and agency staff who operated within the command structure of the historic 9/11 investigation.HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE
• The Codename: "PENTTBOM" is the official FBI designation for the Pentagon / Twin Towers Bombing investigation launched immediately following the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.
• The Operation: It stands as the largest and most complex criminal investigation in the history of United States law enforcement, deploying over 4,000 FBI special agents alongside thousands of task force officers nationwide.
• The Insignia: The chest features the high-quality, original embroidered PENTTBOM Task Force crest, incorporating an agency shield emblem and tactical pentagon geometric framing.COLLECTOR VALUE
Because this garment was only distributed internally to task force members during the multi-year investigation, surviving examples are incredibly scarce family heirlooms. It is a profound piece of American history and a highly sought-after artifact for federal law enforcement collectors, military historians, and 9/11 memorabilia archivists.
