Rare Sideshow Artifact - 1800s Knife & 1880s Original Photo Buffalo Bill Cody:

Antique knife dating back to the early 1800s, and allegedly used as a scalping blade by Native Americans. The original photo depicts an Indian who traveled with the Buffalo Bill Cody Wild West Show and dated 1884. The modern photo depicts a trapper who survived an Indian scalping around the same year. The blade has had a good deal of resharpening but is solid inside its hilt and permanently stained on one side. The twine appears to be animal skin or leather. A macabre piece of history from an Era long since gone in the USA. Plaque not included
