This reddish brown ceramic clay Yixing teapot is an estate sale find. Likely made in the mid-1900s, it is a cadogan “upside-down” teapot in the form of Shou Lao, or the god of longevity in Chinese folklore.
It is unmarked but does have a cross pattern across the body of the piece. You may know more about it than me!
In good vintage condition. Weighs 10.10 ounces and measures 4 inches tall/6.5 inches wide.
