Rare find! A beautiful vintage Chinese porcelain Rose Medallion-style decanter with its original matching porcelain stopper.
This is an especially unusual form that is much harder to find than the traditional Rose Medallion ginger jars, vases and bowls. The tall bottle/decanter silhouette combined with the surviving original decorated stopper makes it a fantastic piece.
The porcelain is richly decorated from top to bottom with colorful figural courtyard scenes, florals, birds, butterflies and traditional motifs, finished with extensive gilt detailing. Even the removable stopper is beautifully decorated with birds, flowers and foliage.
At approximately 12” tall, it has wonderful presence without being oversized.
