Full working, and in beautiful condition, we offer this rare beautiful key wind up Sankyo Music Box which plays Blue Danube.

This music box is unique and gorgeous! The vertical orientation and front glass panel allow a full view of the musical movement. The bees and bells pay homage to music boxes from the 1800’s and are fully visible.
The gold-colored cylinders and bells are striking in appearance. The teeth on the cylinders not only play the tune, but they also drive the bees to strike the bells. It is enchanting to watch and listen!
The mechanism is made by Sankyo of Japan. Along with Reuge, they are a world-class manufacturer of music movements.
The music box plays "Blue Danube Waltz" by Johann Strauss II. This waltz has been one of the most consistently popular pieces of music in the classical repertoire.
This music box case is in EXCELLENT condition. The Royal blue acrylic has swirls of pearlescent gold. There is no noticeable damage, just light normal wear and dust from storage. Please see the pictures.
The music movement is working well. There are no squeaks or squawks that are common on vintage boxes. The bells work perfectly and are in good timing. Please listen for yourself and enjoy the video.
