This is a replica No. 6 dry cell battery, with an authentic duplication of another original Western Electric Blue Bell label. It's refillable with two user supplied standard D-cell batteries, which are wired in parallel to provide a nominal 1.5 volts DC. If you would like the cells wired to provide 3 volts instead, message me when you place your order. This replica is 3D printed and measures 6.25" X 2.5" in diameter. Dry cells from the early 1900's through the 1950's varied in height, anywhere from 6" to 6.5" in height. This replica has authentic #8 brass knurled nuts and a re-creation of an early Western Electric Blue Bell brand battery. Recently redesigned, this battery has a base the unscrews from the top, allowing the user to leave the battery connected while they change the internal batteries, if so desired. The base and top have a beveled edge which protects the label from being damaged when attaching or detaching the base.
