1930\'s Porcelier Art Deco, Porcelain Sconce & Opal Glass Shade, New Wiring, Restored
This over-sink sconce was manufactured by Porcelier during the 1930\'s to early 1950\'s, the lifetime of the company. But the 1930\'s were the peak of their production and this probably dates from then. The sconce has been carefully cleaned and all of the paint and dirt removed from the sides, and it is in very good condition. The unpolarized, ungrounded outlet at the bottom of the fixture was disconnected, but all of the parts are there and it can be made to work if necessary.
The fixture has new wiring and the pull chain switch works smoothly and correctly. We disassembled the switch, cleaned it, polished and lubed the contacts, and added a new nickel plated pull chain. We would be glad to shorten or lengthen the chain if the buyer wants the length adjusted. The fixture even has the original porcelain pull knob, a bonus since these are missing more often than not.
The mounting hardware (crossbar, threaded nipple, nickel plated mounting nut) is included in the sale.
The sconce has been tested, is guaranteed to work correctly, and to be as described.
Dimensions: 6\" high x 3-3/4\" wide where sconce attaches to wall; projects 8\" from wall with shade in place. Uses standard base bulb (not included).
