Ruby with large Kyanite crystals, UV. Mysore, Kamataka, India. 720 grams. For Sale

LONG WAVE UV
Great sample of Ruby in Kyanite with some large well formed Kyanite crystals. Hefty, good sized specimen with one side that has a nice section of blue Kyanite crystals and two sides of reddish pink Ruby mixed with compacted Kyanite. Has some bruising in areas and one side that is a weathered exterior face.
Most of these large chunks of Ruby in Kyanite are fairly homogeneous mix of smaller grained crystals so the larger Kyanite crystals are really cool to see.
The Corundum (Ruby) fluoresces bright red and the Kyanite also red but less brightly under 365nm long wave UV light. From Mysore, Kamataka, India.720 grams.13.5 cm length.

NOTE!I used a filtered Convoy S2 365nm long wave UV flashlight to show the fluorescence in the photos.
