SALE Antique Pair of French Hand Painted Wooden Lamps SALE For Sale

Pair of antique French wooden lamps, are hand painted with ' VIVE LA DIFERANCE' ( long live the difference) on one< and 'AUX GO DONS MORT.) death to the English' ON THE OTHER, which was a slogan in the 100 year war.They gave me no clue as to age, so 1930 is just a guess. Overall, they are 27 inches tall, to the top of their carved finials. the wooden base is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches. They each have a shade,(which are damaged and dirty) . Both shades are oval bell shape, and measure on the top 10 x 7, on the bottom 16 x 11, with a 12 inch height . If you have no use for the shades, let me know and I will reduce the shipping accordingly. They both work. The metal is brass I believe, and even has some verdigris on it, under the shade area.. The plugs are old school, and you may want to replace them. If you have any questions, let me know. The shape and design reminds me of hot air balloons, which is cool!
