An intricately carved clay vessel with two spouts at the top, either a wedding vase, an oil lamp or a drinking vessel? a wedding vase is the closest I can come to what it might be.
This piece has written on the bottom, John Jones, BC, 1942. It appears to be salt glazed.
I have researched this for days and didn't really get too far.
I would love any information on it if anyone has any that they would like to share.
This piece measures 5.5" across and 3" high.
There are two lighter bits on the spouts that appear to have been missed in the glazing.
A lovely piece of history.
