This is a nice selection of GREETINGS postcards showing CHILDREN that would have been sent for BEST WISHES and FRIENDSHIP. The postcards have the classic look of the early 1900\'s and they are ANTIQUE (over 100 years old!). The postcards show young children in various scenes. They are nicely dressed and this gives you a glimpse of the fashion and clothing of that era. The postcards are FLAT PRINTED and have SILVER TRIM as a background. These postcards were made by the publisher, Birn Brothers.
The publisher, Birn Brothers, published from 1903 out of London, England and they used the logo “B.B.”.Many of their early postcards were printed in Germany. Around 1915, they moved away from postcards during World War I and gradually concentrated more on book publishing.As a result of the limited life span of their postcards, they are sought after by collectors.
This is a nice mixture of antique Children postcards for the collector.The postcards are nicely detailed and pleasing to look at. These are truly collector items, and would be good to put into a collection. Overall, a niceselection of Children antique postcards at a reasonable price!
The postcards are UNPOSTED (1) and POSTED (2) with cancel dates in the 1908 era. These were \"Printed In Germany\" during the \"Golden Age of Postcards\" (1908-1915 era). They have DIVIDED backs.
These are BETTER POSTCARDS and good for a collector.The postcards will keep their value! They are sleeved and in good condition. However, please expect some of these to have edge wear, smudges, stains, paper toning, cuts and creases because of their age (again, over 100 years old!).
