SOG designed the Mini Flashback Clip Point Satin SAT101-CPto be useful on a daily basis. The Flashback features a durable, 3.5" straight-edge AUS 8 stainless steel blade that flips out of a 4.5" stainless steel and glass-reinforced nylon handle.
The opening mechanism utilizes a color coded safety button which helps to ensure that the knife remains in the closed position when intended. However, when this folding knife is opened, its SOG Assisted Technology's opposing high-tension coil springs progressively increase the force applied to either of its thumb studs for amofferextrous, easy, and near-instantaneous blade deployment.
The knife features a tanto point design which increases the amount of blade area behind the tip.
