Scarce 1910s Dutch “Moortjes" litho tobacco tin in very good condition For Sale

This scarce 1910s Dutch “Moortjes" litho tobacco tin, measuring 2 7/8” x 4 5/8” x 6 3/4”,is in very good condition with no dents, some small superficial rust spots on the interior lid and some very minor age related paint scratches and chips. The tobacco was manufactured by A. Hillen of The Red Anchor Cigar Works, Delft, The Netherlands. This highly attractive multicolored tin features an image on the front of a detailed portrait of a Moorish man wearing a turban and smoking a long pipe. In the background is a busy port. The reverse side has a detailed image of a Moorish courtyard. The company’s trademark red anchors are on each side of the tin.
