Scarce Original WW1 US M1907 Sling For 03 Springfield or M1917– Hoyt 1918 For Sale

Offered is an original World War One era production United States military issue Model 1907 leather sling made for use with the 1903 Springfield or Model 1917 rifles. This will also fit an M1 Garand (the M1907 was used extensively with the Garand during World War Two) and was used on Trench Shotguns as well. This sling is maker marked Hoyt and has the inspector’s initials below. It is dated 1918. This sling has the brass claws, as is correct for World War One era M1907s. It is full length and I have never modified, cleaned, polished, or repaired. The claw rivets are tight. Both original sewn keepers are present. These original slings have become difficult to find, as the repros and fakes greatly outnumber the originals. It is offered exactly as pictured in very nice original condition and shows only normal wear and checking. It is free from rips or tears.
