Sherman Tank M48 75mm H.E 3D Printed Display Model Shell with Fuse: $110.00
This listing is for a 3D printed replica of a 75MM SUPER High Explosive shell used by the US M4 Sherman tank during WWII. The SUPER model was "Supercharged" for high speeds when fired. This increased the propellant charge to allow the shell to travel about 400 feet per second faster than the standard round. (1950FPS vs 1470FPS) The real round weighed about 15 pounds and contained about 1.5 pounds of TNT. This replica is about a pound. It is 27 inches tall and 3.5 inches wide at the bottom of the case. These are measurements based off the real shell. There are multiple models of shell, and each one is slightly different in size. As this is a 3D printed replica there will be small lines and minor imperfections in the item. These are expected in 3D printed items. We inspect all our prints and only sell the best ones. We don't sell seconds or imperfections. This item is made from PLA material. If left in very high temperatures it is possible for it to deform. Very high being 100+ degrees. The only deformation we've ever had reported was a small black colored plate that was left on asphalt during a 100+ degree day. We would suggest not leaving this item on asphalt during such temperatures. The last photo shows a few variations of the shell as it was manufactured during WWII. We did stencil on this model to represent the SUPER designation as well as 75G TNT SHELL M48 +. This is done intentionally with light paint to look old and quickly done. The gov't spent little effort on the cleanliness of the marking on these shells. The markings were for quick ID when using the shells, not display back then. Also, the filament these are printed with are not the easiest to put paint on. They tend to want to run. We allow it as it tends to look more authentic in our humble opinion.
