This is an original, early advertising giveaway wooden ruler from Shotwell Mfg. Co., Chicago. The company sold Checkers popcorn and various other candies. The ruler measures 15\" long. The back side reads \"It\'s a good rule to always carry a stock of Shotwell\'s specialties.\"The ruler shows its age with a slight bow and a couple of chips in the wood, but it is still in fairly good condition.
