Up for sale is a detailed representation of the Soviet Order of the "Badge of Honor" (Знак Почета). This piece is crafted in the style of the early "Type 1" awards, featuring a functional screwback attachment method.
Design Elements:
Front: The center features detailed figures of a male worker and a female agricultural worker holding symmetrical red banners. The banners display the inscription "СССР" (USSR). Below the figures is a golden plaque with the text "ЗНАК ПОЧЕТА" (Badge of Honor). The upper part is crowned with a red star. The outer rim has the text "ПРОЛЕТАРИИ ВСЕХ СТРАН, СОЕДИНЯЙТЕСЬ!" (Workers of the world, unite!).
Back: The reverse has a textured finish with a central threaded screw post. It features two stampings:
The mint mark "МД" (MD).
A hand-engraved style serial number: "6227".
Material and Finish:
The piece is made of a silver-toned metal with polished highlights on the figures and text. The banners and star are finished with a rich, dark red enamel, intended to show a realistic aged patina and wear. The lower plaque is gold-toned.
