Stroh's Beer Vintage 17 Jewel UT 30 Mechanical Movement Men's Wristwatch
This is a vintage Stroh's Beer manual wind-up watch. It features a classic silver-tone case, gold-tone hour markers, and the signature script Stroh's logo across the dial.
The movement is the UT 30 (or UTC 30 / Universal Time Caliber).Produced by Universal Time Corporation, an export brand historically created by Seiko to supply bare mechanical movements to third-party brands and promotional watch manufacturers.
In 1971, Stroh Brewery Company shifted away from its regional agency to a large national marketing firm to aggressively expand corporate distribution. This massive push into new U.S. markets throughout the early 1970s resulted in a huge wave of custom promotional inventory, including bar clocks, apparel, and specialized merchandise like this mechanical timepiece.
The "Mystery Dial" features the rotating Stroh's crest functioning as the second hand adds functional curiosity.
