Stunning Antique GWTW Victorian Hand-Painted Delft Brass Ceramic Oil Lamp 30\" For Sale

This is a fantastic brass and ceramic oil lamp with hand-painted scenes in classic blue on white delft motif. It is large, standing about 30\" tall and is a very special lamp. Please look at the pictures as I\'ve tried to capture all of the detail. Here\'s some additional information:

• The lamp is in excellent condition. The brass and metal surfaces shine and showcase the designs.
• The ceramic is highly molded with embedded designs that add a 3-d element
• The globe shape has four different hand-painted scenes - all in the traditional delft blue motif, showcasing windmills, tall sailing ships and European landscapes
• The ceramic base also features another hand-painted scene 360 degrees around
• It features a round burner with flame disc, embossed with \"American Lamp 95\" and patent dates ranging from 1888 to 1892.
• The well is very sturdy and in excellent shape, with some light tarnish as one of the few signs of age and use
• The base and mid-features cast metal with elegant designs, including a beautiful maiden with flowing hair. These are also in excellent condition.

Besides the burner identification, I could not locate any manufactures marks. I have identified several similar lamps from the same period made by Plume & Atwood (P&A) and I would attribute this to them, although it could be another manufacturer of the period. This lamp was made in the 1890\'s, probably 1895, as signified by the burner embossing.
The lamp stands 30\" tall and the globe shade is 8\" in diameter. The base is 7\" on each side. It is heavy, weighing about 10.6 lbs. It will be packed and shipped with care, probably in two boxes. Local pick up is also offered for your convenience.
