THE STEAMER \"IDAHO\" : LAKE COEUR D\'ALENE : RPPC : (1908) For Sale

This vintage real photo postcard features the steamer, \"Idaho\" on Lake Coeur D\"Alene, on the way to the St. Joe River, Idaho. The book \"Steamboats in the Timber\" (1953) reports that the Idaho was a side-wheeler capable of carrying one thousand passengers. The first deck was a buffet and the second deck contained the restrooms, purser office, and two cabins. The upper deck had two cabins and a wheelhouse. The Idaho was the most \"palatial steamship\" on the lake. This postcard has a 1908 postmark and is in fair condition (see scans).
