Finally, a comprehensive reference book to the U.S. Model 1917 \"Enfield\". This often-overlooked fine bolt-action rifle was actually the PRIMARY American infantry weapon of WW1 - (far outnumbering the more famous 1903 Springfield) now has received the \"Bruce Canfield Treatment\". More than 2 million M1917 rifles were produced - many not only used in WW1 but WW2 as well. Canfield covers the whole 1917 \"story\" from the rifle\'s development and production / all manufacturers / all models and variations. Accoutrements, ammo, bayonets, slings, sights, scopes, web gear, etc. Full coverage of component markings and inspection stamps. Covers all models and variations including post war \"rebuild\" programs. Serial number data base. Dates of manufacture. 300 pages 8.5x11 HARDCOVER with over 400 full color and 200+ B&W photos. From highly regarded U.S. military small arms author BRUCE CANDIELD - just doesn\'t get any better!!! ABSOLUTE MUST for ALL U.S. WW1 / WW2 martial arms collectors.

SPECIAL NOTE: BEWARE of FAKE & ILLEGAL UNAUTHORIZED REPRINTS of Jessie Harrison\'s M1 Carbine book being sold here on for $120 to $150 a pop as the \"Real Deal\" /// they ARE NOT - they are in fact illegal reprints violating copyright law. Mr. Harrison passed on years ago, this book has been OUT OF PRINT & unavailable for many years. Some very dishonest individual is taking advantage of a dead man\'s work. BTW - this not the only book this guy has illegally reprinted and has been selling on . (his modus operandi / that\'s how he has been able to stay in business / via selling books he has illegally reprinted) SO, BEWARE OF FAKE & ILLEGAL REPRINTS!!! (same as buying stolen goods) DON\'T GET SCAMMED by a LOW LIFE CROOK!!! FROWNS UPON DISHONEST SELLLERS SELLING \"FAKE\" MERCHANDISE!!! AI has NOT caught this guy -- so much for AI. Buyer response has noted FAKE \"KNOCK-OFFS\" as being received. AI just doesn\'t pick up on it!!!
