TWO Vintage J.F. Ryder \'Pluck\' Series Cards No. 1 and 2 Cabinet Cards circa 1880\'s. Measures 4.25 x 6.5\" each reverses blank. Taken from the artwork of Archibald Willard, Ryder commercialized the popular series in 1870\'s marketing them as companion narrative images humorously depicting children in their dog pulled cart or wagon and the chaos that ensues. Titles and copyright info along bottom of each. The images were incredibly popular in their day but difficult to find today. And we have both together! Conditions fair/good No. 1 has crease down middle but still solid, both have fading and toning, No. 2 has pen mark lower right corner, scrapbook remnants on reverse of each.
