A rare, authentic antique aqua glass medicine bottle produced for the druggists Thompson & Crawford of Philadelphia, dating to the mid-19th century (circa 1850s–1860s). This historical piece features sharp, crude embossing across the front panel reading "THOMPSON & CRAWFORD / PHILADELPHIA".Constructed of light aqua glass, the bottle stands 4.5 inches tall and possesses a smooth, indented base characteristic of the snap-case era of manufacturing. The glass features beautiful, early hand-blown irregularities, including tiny seed bubbles throughout and a slightly asymmetrical neck with a finished, tooled lip. It has a beautiful cylinder shape and a classic patina that shows off its rich history. An exceptional addition for collectors of early American medicine bottles, apothecary jars, or Philadelphia druggist memorabilia.Condition:
Excellent antique condition. No cracks, chips, or major bruising. The glass displays beautiful clarity with minimal ground wear or interior cloudiness. The embossed lettering remains highly legible and crisp. The base is smooth and indented with no pontil scar.
