It is with deep sadness that I must list my extremely rare and unique Beckett Witnessed Hand-Signed Ian McKellen Topps Authentic Movie Memorabilia Card.
This is an exceptionally difficult card to find even without the autograph, particularly in this condition.
With the addition of a genuine, hand-signed Ian McKellen autograph, I believe this places the card into a very unique category for collectors.
The card will also come supplied in a Pelican protective case worth approximately £60.
This provides an additional level of protection for the card during storage and display, giving the buyer peace of mind that this extremely rare piece of memorabilia can be kept safely protected.
The card was personally hand signed by Ian McKellen in London at a private signing earlier this year and was Beckett Witness authenticated at the time of signing.
The Beckett Witness authentication sticker on the reverse of the card can be entered into the Beckett website to independently verify the authenticity of the autograph.
I have been unable to find another example of this exact card with an Ian McKellen autograph currently listed or previously sold, so there is very little directly comparable to use when valuing it.
I have, however, seen recent sold prices for the Topps Gandalf signed card — not the Movie Memorabilia version — with one selling for around £1,300.
This card is considerably harder to find, and in my opinion the combination of the rarity of the underlying card, its condition, the hand-signed autograph and Beckett Witness authentication makes this a particularly unusual piece.
I am therefore confident that the asking price reflects the rarity and uniqueness of the item.
I am currently listing this to test the level of interest before sending it away for professional grading.
If graded, I expect this to be a very low-population card, potentially making it an even more desirable piece for serious collectors. The opportunity here is therefore to acquire it before grading.

This is a genuinely special piece of Ian McKellen memorabilia and not something I expect to see another example of easily.
