Here is a VERY rare custom knife from my collection, owned it for years. The Warthog. Handcrafted custom tactical / survival style fixed blade made by Brian K Johnson ( B.K. Johnson) of Firth Idaho.
This knife is a beast!!
He has not made knives since the mid 2000s. If I recall he was a mechanical engineer by trade I believe, but became sought after for his excellent heavy duty knives and meticulous heat treatment and tempering of his blades.
The Warthog is 9 3/4” OAL, full black Cerakote or Gunkote with hand-rubbed finish to smooth out the ceramic. 01 tool steel, 1/4” stock. He was known for his meticulous cryoed treated O1 steel blades, such as this one.
Absolute wicked spear point and recurve edge, and a unique serrated spine that is razor sharp. Blade is 4.5”.
Smooth polished black Micarta handles with white vulcanized fiber spacers. Comes 2 sheaths made by him.. a heavy duty thick full grain leather sheath for belt carry, and super robust squared leather sheath for scout carry or pack carry. Excellent sheaths!!
